WITL--Tuesday

Another fairly typical day here.  Tuesday means that both kids go to school and Troy is obviously at work.  I truly enjoy my days to myself.  I try to balance getting stuff done and a little me time.  After H and I dropped off LJ, we came home so she could eat breakfast and then I dropped her off too.  I went to Target and spent an hour walking around.  I spent $220--that's a lot but I got some bigger ticket items that we've been needing.  I quickly came home and put everything away before heading out for lunch with Leslie and Susannah.  I love some good girl time.  I came home and had about an hour before I had to get H so I did some random chores and downloaded my pictures from Monday.  Then I picked up H and we went to get LJ.  Luke wanted to ride bikes which we did before coming in to watch Curious George Boo Fest again.  Then it was an early dinner for the kids because LJ had soccer practice.  Troy met us at practice and brought H home for a bath and bed.  LJ and I got home about 7:30 and he quickly took a shower and got in bed.  Troy and I watched game 6 of the World Series (GO ROYALS!) and we had lights out about 11.

Some observations/gratitude:
* H doesn't always want to go to school but when we get there she's fine.
* I was much busier and stressed about time today than I normally am for a me day.
* Fall is coming (finally)--it was cold at the end of soccer practice.
* I got a good night's sleep.
* I really enjoyed my lunch with the girls.
* Today was the last soccer practice of the season.

Favorite moment:
Listening to the kids laugh hysterically while watching Curious George.

Keeping watch

I was blogging while the kids rode their bikes.

So glad he figured out this is fun

Not bad for Oct 28

Trash duty

This is the "art" room.  It's also the shoe, jacket, backpack, random stuff room.  It drives me crazy that it can never stay picked up.

Constantly where ever I am

Dinner--turkey sandwiches, apple slices, gouda cheese (a big fav right now), pretzels and milk

Watching the boys run

Love this

Warm up run around the field

How is that comfortable

All clean

Ready to go

She hasn't sat up here for a long time.

Checking out WITL blogs

So glad he does this

WITL--Monday

Yesterday was a pretty normal day around here.  Troy went to work; Luke went to school; Hannah and I ran errands and went to the park before lunch and nap time; and the kids played outside after LJ got home.  Then it was dinner and more time outside before bed for the kids.  Troy and I relaxed and watched some TV before going to bed (too late I might add).
Some observations/gratitude:
* Hannah has sort of been in a funky mood lately and it's getting better but there was still evidence of it.  She was also very congested--not sure if it's allergies or a cold.
* LJ was out of bed without my prompting which is always a great thing.
* I didn't sleep well Sunday night so I was grateful that I had a chance to take a short nap while H was napping.  I know it made the afternoon more enjoyable for all.
* Luke asked me before bed if we could pray before we turned out his lights--no problem munchkin.  We talked about it for a few minutes and I gathered this: he's been praying by himself at night but he wanted me or Troy to start sitting with him while he says his prayer.  He told me that he wanted to pray silently with me sitting next to him.  I could hear him whispering but couldn't understand anything that he said.

Favorite moment:
After dinner we all rode our bikes around in the driveway for about a half an hour.  The kids really thought it was great that mom and dad were riding too (even though our tires were sort of flat).

My morning friend

Easy, simple and fast

Yum

I always like to have this for the week.

It drives me crazy that he twists the tube like this but it's definitely one thing to not stress over.

It's too bright!

Beautiful sunrise on the way to school

One of my least favorite chores

"No pigtails today, Mom."

Selfie

Sam's Club--she loves to hang on to the outside of carts

Wheeeee!

So glad she will sometimes still hold my hand

Love this smile!

Stories before nap time

She was sound asleep when we had to leave to get LJ from school.  I really hate waking her up.

Train!

Loves her frisbees

We absolutely love this tree--beautiful colors all year long.

Always wants to be outside

Boo

Playing with golf balls

Relaxing

Dinner (not much battle tonight)

Still have lots of red and green tomatoes growing--love it!

So glad that he participates in this project too.

My love

Troy finally convinced him to try and ride this bike.  He had so much fun and didn't want to go inside.  He requested that we ride bikes after school on Tuesday.

Goofy

Happy face

Whoa--look out!

Hello...

Two months…

…since I last wrote a post.
…is a long time to not record any details or stories of our lives.

I've been in a funk lately.  I'm not sure why or exactly when it started.  I just know that I'm ready to be done.

Next week my favorite scrapbooker, Ali Edwards, is doing her Week in the Life project.  I've followed along and participated for three years.  I plan to make this my 4th year.  I really was happy with how I documented everything on my blog last year and that's my plan again for this year.

I'm hoping that this project will help me out of my funk and I'll get back in the habit of posting more regularly.

So hello and hope to see you next week :)
