WITL--Saturday

Saturdays around here can be really busy, totally lazy or somewhere in between.  I would say today was somewhere in between.  Troy got up a bit early and went for a bike ride; I got up not long after he left and took a shower and got ready.  I heard Hannah get out of bed while I was getting ready and LJ got up while Troy was taking a shower.  We all had breakfast together and then I went to the farmer's market with a quick stop at a friends to drop off a chair.  Troy worked and the kids played and watched TV while I was gone.  When I got back, we attempted to get the kids ready to leave and Luke proceeded to have a meltdown about leaving (he is such a homebody on the weekends especially when school is going).  We eventually made it out of the house and headed for the granite store where Troy and I both proceeded to be completely overwhelmed.  We went out to lunch which went well and then came home and the kids had quiet time.  Troy took a nap while I cleaned up the kitchen and downloaded pictures.  I talked to my mom for a bit before doing a blog post about WITL.  After an extra 30 minutes in their rooms for arguing, the kids came downstairs and they watched videos with me on my computer before we had a tickle fight.  I fixed an early dinner so we could head to the baseball game.  Parking was super crazy downtown and it was good we left early.  We all enjoyed the game and left during the 7th.  Troy tried to find some stars for the kids to look at with the new telescope but he wasn't able to find anything (the target scope was out of battery) so we got the kids in bed as it was so late for them.  Troy took a quick shower and I got ready for bed.  Troy turned his light out much before I did because I couldn't put my book down.

Some observations/gratitude:
*Everyone except me seemed to be in a bad mood before lunch.
*For the second time this week I forgot to wear earrings which is really odd for me.
*I love that my kids enjoy watching old videos of themselves with me.
*I'm glad we all went to the baseball (it was iffy at a few points during the day because of behavior).

Favorite Moment:
Going to the baseball game

WITL--Friday

Today was a fairly normal day around here with the exception of it being Luke's second day back at school.  Troy was up and at work early; an earthquake woke me early; I'm not used to getting up early yet with our new school schedule.  After getting Luke to school, Hannah and I had breakfast and then we headed to the hospital to visit my friend Ashley who had her 4th child the day before.  When we got back home after a quick stop at Hobby Lobby, Hannah and I played with her princess castle a bit before she ate lunch.  I had lunch with Troy when he got home around 12:45.  Hannah had quiet time; Troy took a nap; I read after cleaning up and laundry.  Troy went to the pool store before going to pick up Luke from school.  When Hannah came out of her room she and I had a dance party while Troy was gone.  After talking with Luke about his day a bit the kids watched a couple of shows and had a snack.  Troy was working on installing Sirius radio in both of our cars (with a little help from Hannah) while I was reading some more.  Hannah insisted on FaceTiming with Grammy after hearing her on the phone which we did.  Hannah hit Luke really hard with her cup and went to her room.  I started dinner and we ate just after 6.  The kids took a shower before they watched a movie (LJ was really tired from school); Troy was working from home; I was working on my WITL album title page.  After getting the kids in bed, Troy watched the Royals game while I continued to work on my album.  We headed to bed after the game was over and turned our lights out about 11:20.

Some observations/gratitude:
*It rained most of the morning so I didn't have to water all of my flower pots.
*Everyone enjoyed dinner! (not always the case)
*LJ is definitely still adjusting to his school schedule and was obviously tired.
*Dance parties are fun and can get everyone back in a happy mood.

Favorite moment:
Watching Hannah with baby Caleb.  She really was in awe at least until he cried and then she looked terrified.

Week In The Life...Again

Once again my favorite scrapbooker, Ali Edwards, is doing her famous Week In The Life project starting on Monday. I love this project although not as much during it but looking back on it down the road and remembering what our lives were like at that time.  Next week is not so typical for us.  Hannah and I will be gone from Thursday through the weekend.  So, I decided to change up when I started my week in the life so be able to capture more "normal" stuff for us.  I actually started taking pics and documenting life yesterday.  I wanted to get this intro blog done yesterday but it didn't happen.  I had my nose stuck in a book instead.  Hopefully, I can get a blog posted about each day.  I also plan to do an actual album this year (yay! I've started on it already).  So without further ado....
