As you know, Luke loves music. Unfortunately for him, Troy and I are not very musically inclined especially when it comes to singing; however, Luke loves to sing so we do our best to indulge him. We have really been working on the ABCs lately. Yesterday, Luke starting singing by himself and as you can hear he made it through the whole song. No, you are not going to understand any letters except maybe the first couple but I assure you that's the whole alphabet including "Next time won't you sing with me?". Troy and I are super proud of Luke and we are amazed that he has the whole song down already. And yes, I'm bragging about my child again but that's okay since this is my blog :)

Bubble Popping
On Tuesday Luke received a singing & dancing donkey from Grandma and Grandpa Hogancamp in the mail for Valentine's Day. Luke loves anything that has the above combo. He was quite excited about the gift but also found the bubble wrap to be just as exciting. Luke was rather upset when all the bubbles were popped; however, he did find comfort in the repeated playing of the donkey. Mom and Dad have the song permanently ingrained in their heads now, thanks Grandma and Grandpa :)

Build A Bear
Yesterday, Troy and I took Luke to Build A Bear. We went to let Luke pick out an animal for Valentine's Day. We figured next weekend might be a little crazy so we went early and it was still pretty busy. Luke picked out a horse and unwisely Mom and Dad decided to put a sound button inside. Other than waiting in line, Luke had a great time looking at all the animals and watching the horse get stuffed. If you've been to Build A Bear you know that you put a heart in the animal before he gets stuffed- Luke did really well giving the heart a kiss and rubbing it on his head and tummy although I don't think he understood what was going on. He did fairly well pushing the pedal to have the stuffing come out of the bin and he really enjoyed washing the horse off after we were done. We all ate lunch at the mall when we finished and then Luke conked out on the way home. It was a great family outing!
Grammy Visits
This past week my mom came down for a visit. She got here on Tuesday evening and left on Friday afternoon. It was sooooo good to see her given the recent events. She found out just before she got on the plane to come that her CT scan showed nothing else to worry about- YAY! Such a relief for all of us! Luke still went to MDO on Wednesday which allowed us to go shopping and out to lunch. It's been quite a while since it was just mom and I together so we had a great time. Thursday we just stayed at home and Luke had fun playing with Grammy. She brought him a new book that has puzzle pieces in it. Luke loves it! It has a bunch of different farm animals and he and Grammy played with it a bunch while she was here. Luke also learned to sing part of Baa Baa Black Sheep- it's really cute! Friday we all ran a few errands before we had lunch and took Grammy back to the airport. Thanks for coming Grammy- we loved seeing you!
