Easter Weekend

Last weekend (I guess it was 2 weekends ago now) we went to KC to celebrate Easter with my family. We arrived Thursday night and left Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately the weather was a bit cool and rainy so we didn't get much time outside. We did manage to go to a neighborhood egg hunt Saturday morning amid a few sprinkles--Luke was able to check out a police motorcycle, a fire engine, talk to the Easter bunny and participate in a crazy egg hunt where he got 6 eggs. Saturday night we spent with my Dad and Frankie. We did another egg hunt and Luke had fun chasing/being chased by Grandpa and playing MarioCart with him.

Sunday morning we all got ready and went to church. I have to say that we were all impressed by how well he sat through the service without one complaint. After church, it was time for another egg hunt with Emma and Mary (my cousin's daughters) and brunch. It is a tradition that we spend the day with long time family friends the Masonbrinks. Although not everyone was able to join us it was fun to see them and catch up. Luke was quickly ready for a nap so we loaded up the car and headed home.
